ESCAPE AT DANNEMORA Debuts On Sunday, November 18 At 10 PM ET/PT

LOS ANGELES – August 6, 2018 – SHOWTIME has announced that it will premiere season six of its hit drama series RAY DONOVAN on Sunday, October 28 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The network also announced the premiere date for the new limited series Escape at Dannemora on Sunday, November 18 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. RAY DONOVAN stars multiple Emmy^® and Golden Globe^® nominee Liev Schreiber and Jon Voight in his Golden Globe winning role. Directed and executive produced by Emmy winner Ben Stiller, Escape at Dannemora is an eight-hour limited series starring Academy Award^® winners Benicio Del Toro and Patricia Arquette and Golden Globe nominee Paul Dano. The announcement was made today at the Television Critics Association’s summer press tour by David Nevins, President and CEO of Showtime Networks Inc.

As season six of RAY DONOVAN begins, we find Ray (Schreiber) rebuilding his life both personally and professionally in New York City.  After being rescued from a plummet into the East River, his savior, a cop named Mac (Domenick Lombardozzi), brings Ray into the fraternity that is the Staten Island Police Department. While exploring this new world of brotherhood and corruption, Ray finds himself once again working for media mogul Sam Winslow (Susan Sarandon). Sam has teamed up with New York City mayoral candidate Anita Novak (Lola Glaudini), a partnership that puts Ray at odds with his new friends out in Staten Island. A SHOWTIME production, RAY DONOVAN also stars Eddie Marsan, Dash Mihok, Katherine Moennig, Pooch Hall, Kerris Dorsey, Devon Bagby and Graham Rogers, with Oscar^® winner and multiple Emmy-nominated actress Sarandon (returning as a series regular). The 12-episode season of RAY DONOVAN is currently in production in New York. ESCAPE AT DANNEMORA is based on the stranger-than-fiction prison break in upstate New York in the summer of 2015 which spawned a statewide manhunt for two convicted murderers, aided in their escape by a married female prison employee who carried on months-long affairs with both men. Del Toro plays convicted murderer Richard Matt, an artistic yet intimidating force within the prison, who masterminds the escape. Arquette plays Tilly Mitchell, a working class wife and mother who supervises the prison tailor shop and becomes sexually involved with both men, ultimately agreeing to hide hacksaw blades in frozen hamburger meat to help them get out. Dano plays David Sweat, a convicted cop-killer who may have genuine feelings for Tilly and becomes a reluctant partner in Richard Matt’s plot. The cast also features Golden Globe and Emmy nominee Bonnie Hunt, acclaimed actor Eric Lange and Emmy nominee David Morse. Produced by SHOWTIME, ESCAPE AT DANNEMORA is written and executive produced by Brett Johnson (Mad Men) and Oscar nominee Michael Tolkin (The Player), who met while working as writers on RAY DONOVAN.
