NEW YORK – April 13, 2018 – THE CIRCUS is going inside Russia to report on the headlines that are sending shock waves through American politics in this Sunday’s season premiere at 8 p.m. ET/PT on SHOWTIME. In a week of major news developments internationally and domestically, THE CIRCUS co-hosts John Heilemann, Mark McKinnon and Alex Wagner report from Moscow, St. Petersburg, London and Washington to cover the ongoing drama around President Trump and all things Russia. They speak with key players on the ground, including U.S. Ambassador Jon Huntsman Jr. as Russia expelled U.S. diplomats, and Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of Russia’s state-owned news agency and English-language television network RT, about the lack of shared facts and understanding between the two countries.
