CBS WINS THE WEEK IN VIEWERS LED BY ITS MOST-WATCHED SUNDAY OF THE SEASON

NFL Prime Runover Delivers Nearly 30 Million Viewers

Network Has Five of the Top and 13 of the Top 20 Programs

CBS won the week in viewers which included its most-watched Sunday of the season, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Dec. 15.

Sunday’s 38-minute NFL runover (New England Patriots vs. Pittsburgh Steelers) averaged nearly 30 million viewers (29.72m). For the night, CBS averaged a season best 12.31 million viewers.

CBS had five of the top seven and 13 of the top 20 broadcasts in viewers: 60 MINUTES (#2), THE BIG BANG THEORY (#3), NCIS (#5), YOUNG SHELDON (#6), and BULL (#7) with SURVIVOR (#12), MOM (#13), HAWAII FIVE-0 (#14), NCIS: NEW ORLEANS (#15), HAWAII FIVE-0 SPECIAL (S) (#16), NCIS: LOS ANGELES (#17), MACGYVER (#19) and WISDOM OF THE CROWD (#20) finishing in the top 20.

60 MINUTES was the week’s #1 news program and the top non-sport program. THE BIG BANG THEORY was the week’s top scripted series. NCIS was the week's #1 drama. YOUNG SHELDON was the week’s top new series and new comedy.

CBS had the top scripted broadcasts in adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 – THE BIG BANG THEORY and YOUNG SHELDON.

CBS – 22-hours

NBC – 21 ½-hours

ABC – 22-hours

FOX – 15-hours, 24-minutes
