"THE NFL ON CBS" SCORES ITS HIGHEST RATED FIRST NATIONAL GAME OF REGULAR-SEASON IN 12 YEARS

THE NFL ON CBS's national (4:15 PM, ET) coverage games on Sunday, Sept. 19, highlighted by the New York Jets' 28-14 victory over New England, earned an average household rating/share in the metered markets of 16.7/32, which is THE NFL ON CBS's highest-rated first National game of the regular-season since the Network re-acquired the NFL in 1998.

 

The National window, which also included Houston-Washington and Jacksonville-San Diego, saw its rating/share of 16.7/32, up 8% from last year's 15.4/30.

 

Through two weeks of the 2010 NFL season, THE NFL ON CBS has an average household rating/share in the metered markets of 13.0/26, up 12% from last year's 11.6/24 and has the highest rating for Sunday afternoon game broadcasts.
