CBS IS NOT PLAYING GAMES BUT CLAIMS RATINGS SILVER IN VIEWERS AND DEMOS

NETWORK HAD TOP FOUR MOST-WATCHED

NON-OLYMPIC PRIMETIME SHOWS

Against Olympian competition, CBS claimed a strong ratings silver for Week 21 of the 2017-2018 broadcast season according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. Led by four episodes of BIG BROTHER: CELEBRITY EDITION (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday), the Network was #2 for the week in viewers (4.48m), adults 25-54 (1.1/3) and adults 18-49 (0.7/3, tie). For the week, CBS finished second in viewers on six of seven nights.

BIG BROTHER: CELEBRITY EDITION averaged 4.81m viewers last week, with Wednesday’s episode leading the way, averaging 5.21m viewers.

Another highlight was Tuesday’s encore drama troika of NCIS, BULL and NCIS: NEW ORLEANS finishing second for the night in viewers (5.88m) and adults 25-54 (1.0/3). NCIS also led all non-Olympic programming on Tuesday with 6.95m viewers and was the most-watched drama of the week.

Thursday’s BIG BANG THEORY (7.39m) and YOUNG SHELDON (7.10m) encores were second in their respective time periods, but were just behind CBS’ 60 MINUTES (7.51m) as the most-watched non-Olympic primetime programming last week.

CBS had the top four most-watched non-Olympic primetime programs last week (60 MINUTES, BIG BANG THEORY, YOUNG SHELDON and NCIS).

  NOTES FOR NERDS 

Last night’s (Tuesday, Feb. 20) two-hour block of NCIS and BULL encores averaged 6.28m viewers and beat the original two-hour “Bachelor” by +94% (versus 3.24m). CBS’ schedule of NCIS, BULL and NCIS: NEW ORLEANS encores was #2 for the night in viewers (5.94m).
