Premieres Friday, Sept. 23 on the CBS Television Network

Jennifer Love Hewitt, David Conrad and Aisha Tyler star in GHOST WHISPERER, a new drama about a woman who has the unique ability to see and talk to earthbound spirits that seek her help in communicating and resolving unfinished business with the living, premiering Friday, Sept. 23 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Ever since she was a young girl, Melinda Gordon (Jennifer Love Hewitt), has been able to see and talk to dead people -- earth bound spirits who have yet to cross over to the other side and who seek her help in communicating and resolving unfinished business with the living. Melinda sometimes has a hard time accepting her "gift," especially now that she's a newlywed and looking forward to starting her new life with her husband, Jim Clancy (David Conrad), a paramedic. Her friend and business partner in the antique store, Andrea Moreno (Aisha Tyler), is fascinated by Melinda's talent. Although Melinda embraces her unique "abilities" as a blessing and sometimes a curse, she always helps her clients -- alive or dead -- find emotional closure.

In the premiere episode, Melinda is contacted by the spirit of a soldier who says he is lost. Melinda thinks he may not realize that he is dead so she does some research and discovers that he was classified MIA in 1972. However, when she contacts the soldier's son about his father, he thinks Melinda is trying to scam him and now Melinda must find a way to help both father and son find closure.

Jennifer Love Hewitt became known to television audiences in the award-winning series "Party of Five." She has also appeared in the television movie "The Audrey Hepburn Story."
