Comedian Maz Jobrani follows up his bestselling book with a comedy special of the same name, I’m Not a Terrorist, but I’ve Played One on TV. In this special, Jobrani performs at the world-famous Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles where he takes on political issues, social issues and his kids. Jobrani’s comedy with an international flare has been seen in his previous specials, The Axis of Evil, Brown and Friendly and I Come in Peace. He can be seen this summer in Disney’s Descendants, and co-wrote, produced and starred in the award-winning comedy Jimmy Vestvood; Amerikan Hero due out in wider release at the end of 2015. Jobrani is a regular panelist on NPR’s Wait, Wait Don’t Tell Me, and has given two TED talks. At a time when tensions between the East and the West are high, Jobrani uses his background as an Iranian-American to show that we have a lot more in common than we think.
