Masters Third Round Coverage on CBS Television Network

CBS Sports broadcasts two CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR golf specials on Saturday, April 12; THE ROAD TO AUGUSTA: RICKIE FOWLER (1:30-2:00 PM, ET)and THE BIG THREE AT THE MASTERS (2:00-3:00 PM, ET) on the CBS Television Network.

Hosted by CBS Sports’ Bill Macatee, THE ROAD TO AUGUSTA:  RICKIE FOWLER, is an in-depth look at one of golf’s most compelling young stars as he prepares to challenge for the sport’s most coveted prize - a Masters Green Jacket.  Only 25 years old, Rickie Fowler is already a seasoned veteran of the PGA Tour, preparing for his fourth Masters.  Although he was one of the first “millennials” to break through on the PGA Tour, he has yet to win a Major.  Always one of the most popular and stylish players in golf, with a newfound focus of substance over style, Fowler seems ready to take the next step in joining golf's most elite players.

Following the special on Fowler, CBS Sports’ Verne Lundquist hosts THE BIG THREE AT THE MASTERS.  Arnold Palmer, Gary Player and Jack Nicklaus were each great stars, but together they were "The Big Three.”  They were great friends and fierce rivals and it was at The Masters that they enjoyed their greatest successes.  Their impact on the tournament is incalculable.  Palmer took the Masters to the masses.  Player took the Masters to the world.  And Nicklaus took the Masters to new standards of excellence.  Today Palmer, Player and Nicklaus are part of the very fabric of the Masters. They play together in the Par-3 competition and serve as honorary starters.  THE BIG THREE AT THE MASTERS features in-depth interviews with Palmer, Player and Nicklaus, as well as current stars including Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson.

THE ROAD TO AUGUSTA:  RICKIE FOWLER and THE BIG THREE AT THE MASTERS are produced and written by two-time Emmy Award winner Mickey Holden of the Holden Production Group.  CBS Sports’ Andy Freedman is coordinating producer.

Lance Barrow is Coordinating Producer, CBS Sports Golf.  Harold Bryant is Executive Producer and Vice President, Production, CBS Sports.
