CBS.COM LAUNCHES “ARTIST OF TOMORROW” PROGRAM IN ADVANCE OF THE GRAMMY® AWARDS
Vote to Give Up-and-Coming Musicians Nominated by Past GRAMMY® Winners,
Wyclef Jean, Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott and
Zac Brown Band, the Chance to Perform during “GRAMMY Live”
Dec. 8. 2016 – In advance of THE 59TH ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS®, CBS.com celebrates the next generation of musicians with the return of the “Artist of Tomorrow” program. Beginning today, music fans can visit “Artist of Tomorrow” on CBS.com to view videos from three up-and-coming acts selected by veteran GRAMMY artists. They can then vote to give one rising star the chance to perform during GRAMMY Live®, the official multiplatform streaming coverage of all the behind-the-scenes action leading up to and throughout THE 59TH ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS.
CBS.com’s “Artist of Tomorrow” program features video interviews with three past GRAMMY Award winners – Wyclef Jean, Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott and Zac Brown Band – who discuss their own GRAMMYs experience and their “Artist of Tomorrow” nominee. Leading up to the GRAMMYs, the “Artists of Tomorrow” program will release content and performances from each of the three nominated artists, giving music fans a chance to get to know each of the acts in order to ultimately choose which artist’s performance will be featured during GRAMMY Live.

Bailey Bryan – recommended by Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott – Hailing from Sequim, Wash., Bryan grew up singing on the street in front of her favorite taco stand. From an early age, she quickly caught the music industry’s attention for her ability to simultaneously capture her generation while wisely crafting songs beyond her years.

Drake White – recommended by Zac Brown Band – a Hokes Bluff, Ala. native, Drake White is a country music singer/songwriter who brings together a unique mix of blues, funk, R&B, rock and reggae.

Farina – recommended by Wyclef Jean – born in Medellin, Colombia, Farina is a performer and songwriter with a unique ability to sing and rap while weaving dancehall, reggaetón, trap, rap, pop and folklore genres with the sensibility and vulnerability of a woman’s perspective.

Beginning today, votes can be cast daily through CBS.com at: http://www.cbs.com/shows/grammys/artist-of-tomorrow/. Voting closes Feb. 8, and the winner’s GRAMMY Live performance will be streamed Feb. 12 online at CBS.com and GRAMMY.com and across platforms through the CBS App.
THE 59TH ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS will be broadcast live from STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, Sunday, Feb. 12 (8:00-11:30 PM, live ET/5:00-8:30 PM, live PT; 6:00-9:30 PM, live MT) on the CBS Television Network.
