CBS WINS SECOND STRAIGHT WEEK IN VIEWERS

Network Has Three of the Week’s Top Five Broadcasts and Nine of the Top 10 Broadcast Dramas

 

“NCIS” IS THE #1 DRAMA

“THE BIG BANG THEORY” IS THE #1 COMEDY

“LIMITLESS” IS THE #1 NEW PROGRAM

“LIFE IN PIECES” IS THE #1 NEW COMEDY

 

Network Posts Significant Increases with Live + 3-Day Viewing

            CBS won its second consecutive week of the new season in viewers with three of the top five broadcasts and nine of the top 10 broadcast dramas, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Oct. 4.

            CBS had three of the week’s top five broadcasts and 12 of the top 20 including the #1 comedy (THE BIG BANG THEORY), the #1 scripted broadcast/drama (NCIS),  the #1 new program (LIMITLESS), the #1 new comedy (LIFE IN PIECES) and the #1 news program (60 MINUTES).

CBS had nine of the week’s top 10 broadcast dramas with NCIS, NCIS: NEW ORLEANS, MADAM SECRETARY, BLUE BLOODS, CRIMINAL MINDS, LIMITLESS, SCORPION, THE GOOD WIFE and HAWAII FIVE-0.

            The Network’s freshman hit drama LIMITLESS (9.73m) maintained its premiere week adults 18-49 (1.9/07) and adults 25-54 (2.6/08) demographic ratings and built on its adult 18-49 lead-in (+12%) for the second consecutive week.

Inaddition to its successfullive + same day ratings, CBS saw impressive gains with 3-day playback.  The Network saw gains of more than three million viewers to its nightly average on Monday for the second consecutive week with L+3 ratings added. Some of the individual show highlights for Live +3-day playback include:
