CBS WINS THE WEEK IN VIEWERS WITH SEVEN OF THE TOP 10 PROGRAMS

“Zoo” Is the #1 New Scripted Summer Series in Viewers and Key Demos

Sunday Edition of “Big Brother” Delivers Its Largest Audience on Any Night This Summer

All Three Editions of “Big Brother” Finish in the Top Five in Adults 18-49

           CBS won the week in viewers with seven of the top 20 programs, as ZOO was the top new scripted summer series in viewers and key demographics and the Sunday edition of BIG BROTHER delivered its largest audience of the summer, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending August 16.

          Among the Network's original summer programming, ZOO was the most-watched and highest-rated summer scripted series in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 notching double-digit percentage increase from last week, while EXTANT won its time period in viewers.  

All three editions of BIG BROTHER finished in the week's top 20 among viewers and in the top five in adults 18-49.

ZOO

  •  ZOO averaged 6.69m, 1.7/06 in adults 25-54 and 1.2/04 in adults 18-49.  Compared to last week, ZOO was up +31% in adults 25-54 (from 1.3/04), +20% in adults 18-49 (from 1.0/04) and added +740,000 viewers (from 5.95m, +13%).    

 

BIG BROTHER

  •  BIG BROTHER WEDNESDAY (6.64m) was first in adults 25-54 (2.7/09) and adults 18-49 (2.2/09), up +8% in adults 25-54 (from 2.5/09), even in adults 18-49 and adding +60,000 viewers (from 6.58m, +1%) from a week ago.  BIG BROTHERposted the night's top delivery in adults 25-54, adults 18-49 and adults 18-34 (1.8/09). 
  •  BIG BROTHER THURSDAY (9:01-10:00 PM) was the night's top program in viewers (6.08m), adults 25-54 (2.3/04), adults 18-49 (1.9/07) and adults 18-34 (1.4/07).
  •  BIG BROTHER SUNDAY (8:32-9:31 PM) was averaged 6.89m, its largest audience on any night this summer, 2.6/08 in adults 25-54 and 2.1/07 in adults 18-49.
