THE SERIES PREMIERE OF "STALKER" SWEEPS TIME PERIOD

Both "Stalker" and "Criminal Minds" Projected to Post +50% Increases in Adults 18-49 with 7-Day Viewing

"Survivor" Wins in Viewers, Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54

CBS Sweeps Wednesday in All Key Measures

              The series premiere of STALKER won its time period in viewers and key demographics, CRIMINAL MINDS premiered as Wednesday's most-watched program and posted increases over its year-ago premiere, and SURVIVOR placed first in all measures, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Oct. 1. (L+7 projections follow below.)

At 8:00 PM, SURVIVOR was first in viewers (9.47m), adults 25-54 (3.1/09), adults 18-49 (2.4/08). 

At 9:00 PM, the season premiere of CRIMINAL MINDS (P) was first in viewers (11.54m) and adults 25-54 (3.8/10) and was second in adults 18-49 (2.7/08).  Compared to last year's season premiere, CRIMINAL MINDS was up +3% in adults 25-54 (from 3.7/09) and added +270,000 viewers (from 11.27m, +2%).  It was even with last season's finale in adults 18-49, which was its best performance since Feb. 5, 2014.

At 10:00 PM, the series premiere of STALKER (P) was first in viewers (9.07m), adults 25-54 (2.9/08) and adults 18-49 (2.0/06).  Compared to the time period's season premiere last year (CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION on Sept. 25), STALKER was up +3% in adults 25-54 (from 2.8/07), even in adults 18-49.   

Both CRIMINAL MINDS and STALKER also premiered strongly on CBS.com. CRIMINAL MINDS experienced its highest premiere day traffic in the show's history, up double digits over last year. In addition, traffic to STALKER on CBS.com was up triple-digits compared to the same time period during premieres last year. According to SocialGuide, CRIMINAL MINDS was also the most social primetime series on television last night.

For the night, CBS was first in viewers (10.03m), adults 25-54 (3.3/09) and adults 18-49 (2.4/08).  CBS has won every night this week in viewers and placed first or second every night in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.
