CBS CONTINUES POST-OLYMPIC WINNING STREAK, EARNING ITS SEVENTH STRAIGHT WEEKLY WIN

CBS Has Been First in Adults 18-49 Since the End of the Olympics

In a Week with Nearly Half its Schedule in Rebroadcasts, CBS is First in Viewers and Adults 25-54

An Original “The Good Wife” Tops Sunday in Viewers and All Weekly Cable Programs

CBS continued its post-Olympic winning streak, placing first in viewers for the seventh consecutive week and first in adults 25-54 for the fifth consecutive week, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the holiday week ending April 20, Week 30 of the 2013-2014 television season.

In the eight weeks since the end of NBC's coverage of the Winter Olympics on Feb. 24, CBS has increased its viewer lead by +720,000 and  ranks first in adults 18-49 (2.3/07, tie) and adults 25-54 (3.1/08).

In a week with nearly half its schedule in rebroadcasts, CBS had six of the top 10 programs, with several of its encores delivering more viewers than first-run programming on the competition.

A special rebroadcast of THE BIG BANG THEORY was the most-watched show on Thursday delivering 10.91 million viewers, more than the season finale of “Scandal” (10.57m). An encore of BLUE BLOODS (8.54m) was Friday's top program, with the rebroadcast out-delivering the two weekly editions of “American Idol” and an original episode of “Grey's Anatomy.”

Among the Network's original programs, NCIS (17.12m) ranked #1 for the week, NCIS: LOS ANGELES (14.69m) ranked #3, and THE GOOD WIFE, #11, topped Sunday in viewers (9.15m) and beat every cable program in viewers last week.  SURVIVOR (9.35m) topped “American Idol Wednesday” in viewers in their common hour for the fourth straight week and for the sixth consecutive week in key demographics.
